Quick actions
Update balances
Pensions, Cash ISA and savings: enter the current value from the provider's app or statement. Monthly or quarterly is fine; accounts not updated for 100 days are flagged on the dashboard.
Money in & out
Logging what goes in, separately from growth, lets the dashboard show true investment returns. Trading212 and Kraken deposits are picked up automatically.
Log money in or out
For pensions, log your payment and your employer's separately each month. If your scheme adds basic-rate tax relief (relief at source), log that as "Tax relief". Under salary sacrifice, log it all as you + employer.
Move money between accounts
For money you already had, e.g. a Cash ISA transfer or Cash ISA → Stocks ISA. It's recorded as a transfer, so it never counts as growth, a loss, new money or ISA allowance. Manual balances are updated for you. If the destination syncs from Trading212 or Kraken, its arrival is picked up automatically - if it then shows below as "Me", tap It was a transfer.
🎁 Log a bonus
When a bonus lands: how much arrived after tax, and how much of it you invested (into ISAs, savings, crypto or a pension). The deposits themselves are picked up as usual - this records the bonus for the crown race and the 🎁 Bonus Champion badge.

Growth estimates
Pensions often send one statement a year. Switch this on and, every payday, the account grows by the assumed rate and your monthly contributions are added (as money paid in, not growth). It shows as EST. on the dashboard and restarts from each real figure you enter.
Typical yearly rates after fees: 3% cautious / near-retirement, 5% balanced default fund, 7% 100% global shares. For savings or a Cash ISA, use the interest rate and set fees to 0.
Coins
Crypto outside Kraken (SwissBorg, a wallet, anywhere without an API): enter how many you hold and the price is tracked live via CoinGecko. A quantity of 0 just watches the price.
One-time setup: CoinGecko throttles websites without a key. Create a free Demo API key at coingecko.com → Developer Dashboard, then add it in Cloudflare → Workers & Pages → pension-race → Settings → Variables and Secrets as COINGECKO_KEY (tick Secret).
Holdings
When you change a quantity, say why: Bought / sold logs the difference as money in or out at today's price, so buying more isn't counted as investment growth. Already held at the start moves the starting line instead (use this while first setting up). Reward / correction counts as growth, e.g. staking rewards.

Log overpayments, keep the balance exact from statements, and track the house value.

Balance from statement
Between statements the balance is estimated from your payment, the rate and logged overpayments. Enter the real figure monthly or quarterly to keep it exact.
House value
Every 6–12 months is plenty. Online estimates are rough; lenders often value lower, so a cautious figure gives a more realistic LTV.

Danger zone
Wipes the mortgage settings, statement balances, overpayments and house values so you can set it up again. Your race accounts aren't touched.

Danger zone
To redo a single account, delete it above and add it again with new starting figures. To restart the whole race, this wipes every account, its history, money-in entries and badges for both of you. Targets and the mortgage are kept.

Each person's goal, monthly saving, details and retirement settings, plus the planner assumptions you share.
Pay review
Once a year, or whenever pay changes: update everything that depends on your pay in one go. Nothing is saved until the last step.

Weekly race report
Sent to both of you every Sunday at 6pm: who won the week (growth only, money paid in excluded), the standings and £1M dates, monthly saving, the week's movers, badges, the mortgage and any reminders. Percentages only, no £ amounts.
Phone notifications
Crown changes, saving targets hit, deposits, new badges and pay review reminders. Turn them on from the dashboard's home-screen app (tap Notify me).

The last 50 changes made in Admin, and who made them.
